About this course

User stories are a powerful technique for understanding requirements. These allow you to break down your work all the way from strategy to team level. Originally created to up-skill a large team of business analysts, these have now been made accessible to everyone.

This is split into 3 courses. Even if you have used user stories before these can be a useful refresher.

    • Be able to write a user story

    • Construct a prioritised backlog of work

    • Write user stories for a specific customer

    • Create acceptance criteria

    • Understand how to work best with these in a team

  • User story advanced

    • Understand how acceptance criteria within a user story is constructed

    • Be able to write acceptance criteria for a user story

    • Use real data in your acceptance criteria

    • Refine stories with the “three amigos”

  • User story splitting

    • Understand the benefits of breaking down a backlog

    • Use many patterns to break down a backlog

    • Understand how types of customer affect how you split
